Thank You  -  Special Recognitions Pictures - Signatures - Financial Summary

We had a wonderful day. Many that did not make the first reunion was there, and we missed many that were there the first time that didn't make it this time. Hopefully throughout the years we can all get together.

It has been estimated that we had 2200 in attendance this year. This was great!

Mark all your calendars Last Saturday of September is Times Beach Day.

We are hoping to get a yearly reunion going. It will not be organized, we just hope people will start setting aside the last Saturday in September and show up at the beach. I will post it on the front page of the website as a reminder, but if I forget someone needs to remind me.

Thank You -

I would like to thank all our committee members that made the meetings, all that showed up Friday to help set up and especially all those that helped cleanup. When working together it makes it all fun and worthwhile.

Park official also wanted to thank everyone who contributed to the cleanup he said they did a great job, that this was the first time they had people do a event that they didn't have a lot to clean up to do. Thanks!

Myself and the committee would like to thank:

The park officials that helped with the preparations of the park, supervising of the reunion and helping to keep the parking under control.

George Sowards, owner of Sowards Trailer Services in Pacific and former resident of Times Beach for the trailer his company donated for us to use as the stage. We could not have asked for a better trailer. If anyone ever has a need for Trailer Services please give him your business and help support a Times Beach friend and brother.

Rev. Jack Honeycutt for the opening prayer.

Barb Soetebier - for singing the national anthem, she did a fantastic job.

We would like to thank Danny Capstick and his "Salty Dawgs' for the great music and all their work that helped us to have such a wonderful day.

We were given a bunch of razors that was donated by Schick, I hope all who received one likes it and will use it carefully. (We are not responsible for injuries in connection with the use of the razors. Ha! Ha!)

We would like to thank Mike Miller Sr.for the contribution he made.

And our biggest thank you goes to all those who attended, you are what it is all about. Without people coming we could not have a reunion.

Thank you!

Special Recognitions -

We did some special recognitions at the reunion. (I do not have all my info at this time and will update what needs to be updated later)

Gordon Darrow, the first mayor of "The village of Times Beach" (this was before Times Beach was incorporated) was there. It was a privilege to have had the chance to meet him.

Who lived on Times Beach the longest?  Jr. Hance was recognized for living on the beach since 1944.

Who was the oldest living resident from the beach attending the reunion? We should have done this earlier in fact probably first, My understanding was that there was several that was in their 90's however they had already left and we recognized someone who was Roy Mason, 81.

Who was the youngest child attending the reunion?   - 15 months old (he probably won't remember the day, but he will probably be the last connection to the beach unless we are able to get reunions going.

Who was the youngest child that actually lived on Times Beach that was present? Quiet recognition went to Amy Phillips, borne July 4, 1982 making her 5 months old at the time of the flood. If anyone knows of someone younger we would like to know, please sends us this info.

Financial Summary -

We sold 184 t-shirts out of 200, could have sold more but we did not have enough of the larger sizes, my mistake.  We do have the following t-shirts left in case someone is interested. The cost is $10.00 plus shipping if we have to ship.

1 large

12 medium

3 small

People asked if we could order more and I had to check. The answer is Yes, but the minimum order is 24 and they are priced by quantity so the cost will probably be about $15.00. I will try and get an order together if interested email me your shirt size ( sizes are adult small to 3x) your name, address, and phone number. If I get enough to make a order I will contact you to verify information and if still interested. - email
